What is your freedom worth? And who pays the price for it?
Free at last
Free from limits, free from rules, care-free. Who determines whether you are free? And what exactly does your freedom look like?
How much is freedom worth to you and who pays the price?
The starting point for the dance production FREEDOM is Mohamedou Ould Slahi’s story. He spent 14 years in Guantanamo Bay, where he was interrogated and tortured, without ever being charged. He described his story in his book The Guantanamo Diary, which was recently made into The Mauritanian, a Golden Globe winning film. As a writer, Ould Slahi advocates for a world in which freedom is an innate right, and forgiveness is a core value.
Freedom is, after Happiness, Phobia and LOVE, a new Club Guy & Roni dance production about fundamental emotions and values.
