Jessie L’Herminez
DirectorJessie L’Herminez (1990) studied Theater Teacher at the Academy of Theater in Tilburg and recently graduated from the Directing Education of the Academy of Theater and Dance at the Amsterdam School of the Arts.
In her graduation year, Jessie made ‘Shopping and Fucking’ from Mark Ravenhill. She made her second graduation performance ‘Een Carnaval’ with professional and amateur players. She also did an internship with Woyzeck, director Johan Simons at the Burgtheater in Vienna. During the last year at the Directing Training she discovered that as a director she specifically longs for actors who can strongly combine their textual craft with their physical skills. In the spring of 2020, Jessie would have also directed ‘Starring # 23’, the annual production for and by young people. This has been canceled due to the corona virus.
