All we expect from you as a newcomer is your enthusiasm and an idea of what talents or skills you want to improve. This could be just about anything: from dancing to performing and making videos to building sets. You will then be matched by Ahmad with a mentor who is a professional in the cultural field. This is to support you in your practice, evaluate your progress and, most importantly, keep you going when things get tough.

If you feel like joining, you will meet matchmaker and initiator Ahmad Abdulwahab. He will explain the possible pathways and find out what suits you best.

Bab Ad-Daar travels with talents throughout the Netherlands! In collaboration with NITE, we offer a NITE of Bab Ad-Daar: Yara’s Wedding: an interactive theatre piece combining music, dance and theatre, offering as a fringe programme for the latest NITE performance YARA’S WEDDING. Do we really dare to question our prejudices? Or have we become too politically correct for that? How do we move forward without losing each other?

To support you in your practice, evaluate your progress and most importantly to keep you going when the going gets though.
  • The only thing we need of you as newcomer, is your excitement and an idea of what talents or skills you want to improve. This could be dancing, performing, making videos or building decors.
  • Let us know when you are available throughout the week for a first meeting with matchmaker and initiator Ahmad Abdulwahab. Please indicate one or more days and time slots.
